Generating a Single Tag

  1. 1. Navigate to Your Asset

    Go to Assets and select the asset you want to tag

  2. 2. Find the Tags Section

    Scroll to the "QR & NFC Tags" section on the asset detail page

  3. 3. Click "Generate Tag"

    A new tag is created and linked to this asset

  4. 4. Choose Tag Type

    Select QR Code or NFC (or both)

  5. 5. Configure Options

    Public/Private: Control who can scan the tag
    Include Asset Name: Print asset name on tag
    Size: Choose tag dimensions

How to Scan QR Codes

  1. 1. Open Your Phone Camera

    iPhone or Android default camera app

  2. 2. Point at the QR Code

    Hold your phone steady, 6-12 inches from the tag

  3. 3. Tap the Notification

    A notification will appear - tap it to open the asset page

  4. 4. View or Update Asset

    The asset details page opens instantly

How to Scan NFC Tags

  1. 1. Enable NFC on Your Phone

    Settings → Connections → NFC (Android) or automatic on iPhone

  2. 2. Tap Your Phone to the Tag

    Hold the back of your phone against the NFC tag

  3. 3. Asset Opens Automatically

    No app required - the asset page opens in your browser

What Happens When You Scan?

Scanning a tag opens the asset's detail page where you can:

  • • View all asset information and history

Security Note

Private tags still require authentication to view. Even if someone scans a private tag, they must be logged in as a member of your company to see any information.

Changing Tag Visibility

You can change a tag from public to private (or vice versa) at any time on the asset detail page. Existing printed tags will immediately reflect the new visibility setting.
